The most recent Annual LO*OP Center Board Meeting was Sunday, Nov. 3 at 2 pm. We used Google Hangout for the actual meeting however most Board members participated via email.
I have put a variety of materials on the linked pages for review before the meeting. Everyone voted on the first 5 motions in advance. This permitted the 2 hour meeting to be informal, chatty and smooth.
Most of this wiki is about our current project: The History of Computing in Learning and Education. Please surf around to get familiar with our activities to date. There are links to the most important pages to review.
I sent out a preliminary board packet on Monday before the meeting with three requests:
1) Board members notify me of other business they would like on the agenda as soon as possible. If there is much to discuss we will need to make the meeting more than 2 hours.
2) That anyone who is willing and/or able to approve motions on the basis of the board packet please email their votes to me in advance of the meeting. (lizaloop at gmail dot com) If there are questions or further explanations needed I'd like to hear about them in advance of the meeting if possible.
3) Anyone who has not used Google Hangout before please make arrangements with me to do the set up and a practice run before the meeting. If a member is highly averse to using this conferencing system he/she can participate by phone.
I'll try to reach each of you by phone on Monday evening to make sure you are "on board" so to speak. Thank you for your willingness to make LO*OP Center a success.
